CAPS Certification

AARP and the National Association of Home Builders have teamed up to create a certification that those seeking to live at home independently could trust to provide them the guidance and direction of what can be done to allow for the highest quality if life as one ages. As a Certified Aging in Place specialist, you can trust Meyer Contracting to be an advocate to enjoying an independent life. As Certified Aging in Place Specialists, we can address the needs of people in the community who want to make their house a home for a lifetime, regardless of one's age, or functional abilities. As we always say, "There's no place like your home."

The NAHB Remodelers Council, with the CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists) Board of Governors, is pleased to present the web-based directory of Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists. This comprehensive resource enables consumers to find remodelers or contractors who specialize in the aging in place market. As discussed above, a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) has been trained in the unique needs of the older adult population, aging in place home modifications, common remodeling projects, and solutions to common barriers.
