Pre-Construction Management
Extensive value engineering and redesign resulted in substantial benefits for the Owner:
- Value engineering saved $300,000
- Redesign included foundation, site work, HVAC and electrical fixture package
- Redesign of mezzanine structural steel provided cost savings on steel and decking
The project is a pre-engineered metal building with 20,000 square feet of one-story manufacturing and warehouse space, a 1,500 square foot loading dock, 8000 square feet of office space on two levels and an 1,100 square foot break room.
The project was completed with a very aggressive two phase schedule in order to allow manufacturing, shipping and receiving to occupy and being production 6 months after breaking ground and 2+ months prior to offices being completed in November 2009. Sitework was completed by MCC under a separate contract as well.
