Walkway Over the Hudson – Ulster Entrance
Meyer Contracting Corp. embarked on yet another project for New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. MCC and NYSOPRHP have a long standing working relationship with several successfully completed projects.
The Walkway Over the Hudson – Ulster Entrance project entailed building a 3,500 square foot exposed timber frame structure which includes patron restrooms, a covered nature observation deck and NYSOPRHP staff offices and storage facilities. Numerous site improvements such as an outdoor amphitheater and various environmentally friendly pervious surface treatments are also part of the project. The Walkway remained open to the public for the entire duration of the project.
MCC’s project team excitedly accepted the numerous challenges that came with building this project while maintaining a safe and unimpeded visiting experience for the guests of the largest public pedestrian span in North America.
